A GUIDE TO KNOW THE ITALIAN DELI MEAT PRODUCTS

The excellence of deli meat products in an exclusive guide. In Colorno, headquarter of Alma – the International School of Italian cuisine – was recently presented the book “The meats of Italy”. It is a map of tasting products, from the most famous to the little known, which provides detailed information to consumers and stimulates producers to preserve and promote the quality .

Eight months of work, 22 tasting sessions with a small group of experts (food technicians, chefs, sommeliers, and journalists) and more than 3.000 samples of 51 varieties tasted. At the end of this journey were proclaimed 32 excellence of Italian deli meat products. “No country in the world can boast the deli meat product variety and quality than Italian regions, almost all of them, offer”, said Enzo Vizzari, director Guide de L’Espresso.

The book also gives space to wines for tasting meat products starting with the regional labels.
